MISSION STATEMENT

The Imperial Youth Department (IYD) of the A.E.A.O.N.M.S. serves as a vital platform for youth to acquire essential life skills that prepare them for higher education and the workforce, ultimately shaping them into productive citizens. IYD oversees more than 30 Youth Clubs, with approximately 400 participants from across the United States. Its mission focuses on:

  • Supporting youth in achieving academic success

  • Fostering an appreciation for the arts while enhancing cultural awareness and creativity

  • Fostering Civic Responsibility

  • Developing leadership skills to prepare them for future roles as leaders

The curriculum includes diverse activities aimed at fulfilling these goals, covering subjects such as Life Skills and Leadership training, Academic Success, Career Exploration, Time and Money Management, Self-Care and Hygiene, Bullying Prevention, Conflict Resolution, STEM Exploration, and civic responsibility. The Annual Youth conference brings youth together from across the U.S. whereby they can compete in musical and performing arts, receive life skills and educational training and network with other youth. For the safety of participants, staff members including youth club leaders undergo a level 2 background screening. Many are educators and various other professionals who are certified in Basic Lifesaving Skills (BLS) and CPR, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for aspiring future leaders.
