Welcome to the 2027 Imperial Youth Conference, scheduled for Date in Montgomery, Alabama! We are excited to have you and your youth join us for a week of leadership, fellowship, learning, and fun. Montgomery has plenty of attractions for youth and is also rich in African American History of which we will be exploring.  Some of the wonderful available are the Montgomery Whitewater, Riverfront Park, the Montgomery Zoo, and Sky Zone. The Montgomery's historic African American landmarks, includes, The Legacy Museum, the Rosa Parks Museum, the Freedom Rides Museum, and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice.  These museums offer a powerful opportunity to learn about the courage, sacrifice, and achievements of our ancestors. Their stories inspire pride, strengthen our foundation, and encourage us to lead with purpose, excellence, and service.

 

We hope that our youth enjoy an inspiring and memorable 2027 Imperial Youth Conference. Welcome to Montgomery, and enjoy all this historic city has to offer!

Note: Associate youth club members are allowed to attend conference however they are not allowed to participate in

competitions, they must be a member of the local Youth Club 6 months prior to Conference.

Prizes and Awards Guidance

Possible prizes and awards consist of trophies, certificates, gift cards, monies, trinkets, and bragging rights. These are based on the availability of resources.   

 

Units are expected to display good sportsmanship at all times and take much delight in their winning positions. You must be an official PHA IYD Youth Club to compete. Refer to the IYD Handbook for details.

Competitions and Talent Show Special Notes

All groups who are competing must check in at the Activities Check-in Station at the Youth Headquarters. In addition, submit your Club's performance music on a thumb-drive at the station as well. Teams can participate in a maximum of 5 unit competitions. For talent competitions, only 1 youth from each youth club can represent in a talent show competition & category. The same rule applies for the the Spelling Bee and King, Queen contests.
